We can help you... establish a positive school culture
“What might be called character in an individual would be called culture in an Expeditionary Learning school.” -Greg Farrell, President (retired),
Expeditionary Learning Schools
The culture of a school has an enormous impact on how people in them learn, on how they treat each other, and how they grow and develop as students and teachers and as people. Expeditionary Learning schools consciously shape and develop lively and supportive school cultures by developing shared beliefs, traditions, practices, and rituals. Such school cultures promote best effort, high expectations, high quality work, collaboration and an ethic of service to others. Teachers, principals, and EL staff work to develop a culture of collaboration among staff members as well as among students and between students and staff. As structures and protocols for effective staff interaction are introduced and practiced, staff culture becomes a powerful model for student culture.
